6-Shot Stories

I loved working and learning about the 6-Shot Stories and I think they will definitely be beneficially for learning basic technology in the future. These short videos are a great way for children to get a basic understanding or technology and how to use it. For this, I used iMovie, but students could use a variety of different platforms to help them make their short film. iMovie is a great platform for students to learn about because you can create any kind of project on it and there’s a wide range of things that can come out of it. It was super easy to use and makes learning about technology super easy and effective. I think the main purpose of this is to help kids get a basic understanding of technology through things like iMovie that they would definitely use in the future.

Padlet

Padlet is a great use of technology for students to share their ideas among other students and to allow students to easily and openly discuss ideas. Padlet allows students to write about certain things, share those ideas with other students, and read what other students have to say to. It is a great way to communicate clearly through a community. To me, Padlet seems like an easy have to have an online discussion. The main purpose of Padlet is for students to be able to post and share their ideas with others and to bring the community together through this technology.

Canva

Canva is one of the most useful and wide-ranged technologies we used. You could use Canva to create a graphic organizer for almost anything you needed in life, rather it’s for school, work, or personal life. This technology allows you to very easily create a graphic and really personalize it for your feels. The main purpose of this technology is to make it super easy for anyone to create a clean, graphic organizer for whatever fits their needs.

Google Slides

Google slides is a great technology to use and is important to learn about because it is so widely used around the world for school, work, and personal interests. The technology used to create a Google slides presentation is simple and makes it easy for anyone to use. It is definitely used around the classroom to learn about anything and can be a great way for students to practice using technology. It’s main purpose is to create an organized presentation that everyone can use.

Screen-O-Matic

Screen-O-Matic is a wonderful use of technology because it allows you to record things on your screen and create a video out of them. This is very useful in the educational setting because teachers may often need a way to show students how to do something online, and it gives them a way to easily create a tutorial. You can’t always fully show someone how to do something with a just a video of you explaining the directions, so Screen-O-Matic makes it super easy to give a tutorial. The main purpose of Screen-O-Matic is to make a video out of recording your screen to make easy for things like tutorials of online assignments.

Hour of Code

House of Code is useful in the educational setting because it teaches students a basic understanding of technology and can spark an interest for some students to further pursue it. Coding is so important in technology, and it’s not for everyone, but it’s important for everyone to have a basic understanding of it. The main purpose of this technology is to teach students how to code and the important of this technology.

Piktochart

Piktochart is another technology that is very useful in the educational setting because it allows students to create an informative graphic using technology is a fun and creative way. Students can use this technology to not only complete an assignment, but they can make it fun and make this graphic their own. The main purpose of this is to allow students to get a basic understanding of technology while also allowing them to create something personal while doing it.

Audacity

Audacity is a great use of technology in the educational setting because podcasts are becoming more and more prevalent and it teaches students the background behind producing one. I would have imagined that putting a podcast together was super hard and intensive, but I even learned it was super easy and painless to create. It allows students to learn the basics of this technology and the background of how something like podcast is made. It also gives them a very basic understanding of it so that any student could use it again in the future and create anything they want using this technology.
